This article discusses the post-hire process of conducting Stay Interviews and includes a questionnaire and workbook for you to use.
Performing Stay Interviews is a leading practice that touches base with tenure employees who have been with the company for over one year of employment. The purpose of the Stay Interview is to get constructive feedback on the company’s performance from an employee’s perspective which may assist with future planning and company development, as well as address any concerns or questions they may have, including any training that is needed to be successful in their role.
The stay interview has two sections:
- Questionnaire: HR will ask questions to the employee regarding why they stay employed with the company.
- Company Rating: The employee will be asked to rate their thoughts of the company’s programs and work environment on a scale of 4-1.
Included in the download below is the questionnaire as well as a Stay Interview Results Workbook. This workbook records all employees’ company ratings in a centralized location throughout the year. At the end of the year, the company will have an understanding of the areas in which they are excelling and the areas where they may need improvement.
